These are two teams that have struggled throughout the 2026 AFL season as they now finish off with Essendon facing Port Adelaide at Marvel Stadium in Docklands.

The prediction
Essendon, briefly, lifted themselves off rock-bottom in the AFL a few weeks ago when they defeated the GWS Giants but four successive hammerings since then has seen them return to bottom, most recently suffering a 36-point loss to the Sydney Swans.
Port Adelaide have also been way adrift of the top ten and the play-off places with just six victories and 16 defeats thus far. The South Australians come into this one on the back of their own run of hammerings, losing the last six games.
Port Adelaide were beaten by 76-points by Melbourne last week and that has been a theme so Essendon may well actually be confident of a final day win here.
