England vs Nigeria prediction

Despite England losing their final Group B game against Brazil, they still qualified for the round of 16 having already gained four points prior to that match. But the Young Lionesses have not convinced so far and if we are to see them go further, they must play better against Nigeria, who also picked up four points, most notably thrashing New Caledonia 10-1.

We’ve seen some extremely close games over the course of the round 16 so far as the pressure builds and teams prioritise defensive stability. Expect something similar between these two teams, who are unlikely to take many big offensive risks. With that in mind, backing under 2.5 goals may prove a shrewd play.

England vs Nigeria tip: Under 2.5 goals
