England vs India prediction
England are dealing with the fall out of the surprise international retirement of Test captain Ben Stokes, with pressure growing even more on Brendon McCullum and Rob Key. They were hammered by New Zealand with a 2-1 series defeat concluding at Trent Bridge on Monday.
India have had their own tumultuous and surprising week or so as they succumbed to a shock 2-0 series defeat against Ireland in a T20 series that saw 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi overlooked in both matches, despite his remarkable performances in the Indian Premier League.
India are reeling from those shock losses but the world champions will be expected to turn it on against an England side that battered in a pathetic manner in their final Test against the Kiwis the other day – and with things looking quite moody all round.
