Emma Raducanu vs Daria Kasatkina prediction
Emma Raducanu has shown encouraging signs on clay ahead of the French Open. She only made the second-round of the Madrid Open after a hard-fought three set loss to Marta Kostyuk but reeled off three straight victories on clay for the first time in her career in Rome. Her run came to an end after a heavy defeat to eventual finalist Coco Gauff in the fourth-round. Raducanu was handed a wildcard for this event as she completes her preparation ahead of the second Grand Slam of the season.
Daria Kasatkina will be her opponent in the first-round here. She fell early on to Marta Kostyuk in Rome and has failed to win consecutive matches on the surface this season after other losses in Charleston and Madrid. This is their first match on clay, but Kasatkina dominates the head-to-head, having won all three of their encounters.
Despite Raducanu’s relative progression on clay over the past month and Kasatkina’s recent struggles, the world number 15 has the upper hand when they face each other and we can see her getting through in three sets.
