Elena Rybakina vs Elina Svitolina prediction

After already winning the Eisenhower Cup alongside Taylor Fritz earlier this week, Elena Rybakina is now just one step away from another final at Indian Wells.

The 26-year-old started superbly against Jessica Pegula in their quarter-final, blowing her American opponent off the court as she took the opening set 6-1. Rybakina's level dropped a little in the following set, but she managed to come through 7-4 in the tie-break.

Elina Svitolina, meanwhile, produced a superb display to see off second seed Iga Swiatek in the quarter-finals 6-2, 4-6, 6-4.

The Ukrainian previously had a 1-4 record against Swiatek, and had lost their last three encounters without winning a set, but she found the answers this time around to progress to the second Indian Wells semi-final of her career.

There is not an awful lot separating these two, with their career head-to-head standing at 3-3. Only one of those was contested on hard courts though, with Svitolina winning their Olympics contest in three sets in 2021.

Both have played some excellent tennis at Indian Wells and will push each other all the way, so were expecting this one to go to a decider.
