Elena Rybakina vs Caty McNally prediction

Elena Rybakina did win her singles match for Kazakhstan against Jessica Pegula of the United States in the quarter-finals of the Billie Jean King Cup but it wasn’t enough, as the Americans still won the tie 2-1. Rybakina has one title to her name this season and has been incredibly consistent overall, having got through to six other semi-finals. Those last four finishes include WTA 1000 events in Dubai, Montreal and Cincinnati.

She received a bye and now plays Caty McNally in round two. McNally defeated Laura Siegemund in straight sets to advance from her first-round match. The first set included seven breaks of serve overall, but the American found a way to get in front and then dominated the second to win 6-4 6-2.

McNally leads the head-to-head 1-0 after a win in Charleston, but that was on clay four years ago and Rybakina was forced to retire in the second set. The 2022 Wimbledon champion is a seasoned hard court performer and is heavily favoured to start her campaign with a comfortable win.

Elena Rybakina vs Caty McNally tip: Elena Rybakina to win 2-0
