Ekaterina Alexandrova has suffered a downturn in form this season, with nine losses from her 14 matches in 2026. She was handed a bye in the first-round of the Linz Open last week but then fell to a straight sets loss against Karolina Pliskova. Apart from a run to the final of the Abu Dhabi Open, Alexandrova has failed to make it past the second-round of any other tournament.
