Eintracht Frankfurt preview: Kicking on again

At the weekend, the impressive Eintracht Frankfurt suffered a frustrating 3-1 defeat to Bayer Leverkusen ay the BayArena, against a side that went down to nine men, in what was Kasper Hjulmand’s first game in charge of Leverkusen.

In the opening couple of weeks of the campaign, prior to the September international break, Frankfurt had started with back-to-back victories in the Bundesliga under the impressive management of Dino Toppmoller.

Galatasaray preview: Turkish giants

Galatasaray missed out on the first league phase of the UEFA Champions League last season as a result of a surprise defeat to Young Boys in the playoffs, but the Turks have qualified for this season with another star studded squad.

Gala come into this one on the back of a hard-fought 2-0 victory away from home against Eyupspor, courtesy of second-half goals from Yunus Akgun and Mauro Icardi. They have managed five victories from five at the start of their Turkish Super Lig season.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Galatasaray prediction

Eintracht Frankfurt have been able to sell players for big money and yet continue on an upward trajectory, punching above their weight. They will want to make a statement in the UEFA Champions League, too, for the first time in a very long time. Galatasaray will be aware that home advantage is imperative for them in this league phase, but they will still take the game to the Germans here, and a high-scoring affair could well be a good bet for this one.

Eintracht Frankfurt vs Galatasaray Tip: Over 2.5 goals
