Diane Parry vs Leylah Fernandez prediction

Diane Parry lost in the first-round of a ITF 125 event in Paris last time out despite taking the first set against Hailey Baptiste. Her recent form has not been particularly good though she did well to advance through qualifying and win her first-round match at the Madrid Open before a defeat in the next round to Anna Kalinskaya.

Leylah Fernandez has struggled during her last three events. She began her clay court season with a first-round loss in Madrid before dropping down to a 150 event in Lleida but only making the second-round despite being the top seed. At her most recent event in Rome, Fernandez won just one match as she fell to a straight sets defeat to Marta Kostyuk in the third-round.

This will be their first match on clay with Parry winning their only encounter so far, in the second-round of Indian Wells last year. Fernandez has not been at her best this season and has dropped out of the top 25 but her attacking style and high-level experience should see her through in this match.
