The Ukrainian has won two titles on the ITF circuit, but she also showed how dangerous she can be at tour-level, having reached the semi-finals of the Transylvania Open. Snigur is ranked just inside the top 100 of the world rankings.
Her opponent in the first-round is Daria Kasatkina. She made her return from injury at the Open de Rouen last week, losing to Ann Li in round one despite taking the first set.
