Daniil Medvedev returns to Washington for the first time since reaching the final back in 2019.

The Russian is looking to bounce back from his humbling first round exit at Wimbledon and faces a tricky test right off the bat.

Reilly Opelka sneaked past qualifier Murphy Cassone 7-6 6-7 6-3 in a tight all-American battle and will relish the chance to face the former world number one for the seventh time.
