Daniil Medvedev features in his second match on clay in 2026 with the knowledge things can only get better.

The Russian lost his opener on the dirt 6-0 6-0 to Matteo Berrettini in Monte Carlo and will surely do better in Madrid.

It’s no secret that the seventh seed is no great fan of this surface but he has had success on it in the past.
