Daniel Altmaier vs Francisco Comesana prediction
Daniel Altmaier’s highlight of the season was making the round-of-16 stage of the Monte-Carlo Masters after advancing through the qualifying rounds. This included a fine straight sets victory over Felix Auger Aliassime before a defeat to eventual winner and four-time Grand Slam champion Carlos Alcaraz.
His next two events saw him make the second-round of the BMW Open where he lost to number one seed Alexander Zverev, who would also go on to win his respective event, and a disappointing first-round loss to Nicolas Jarry in Madrid.
Francisco Comesana has largely excelled in his two most recent events after losing in the first-round of qualifying for Monte-Carlo. He made the final of the Oeiras Challenger as the number one seed but lost in straight sets to Elmer Moller. He then advanced through to the third-round of Madrid, which included a very impressive victory over Arthur Fils, before a loss to compatriot Francisco Cerundolo.
There’s little to separate these two but Comesana seems to be finding some form and we're backing him to make it through in three sets.
