Damir Dzumhur vs Stan Wawrinka prediction

Stan Wawrinka claimed a first tour-level win of 2025 as he posted a convincing win over Alvaro Guillen Meza. 

The Swiss eased to a 6-4 6-1 success over the Ecuadorian to set a fifth career meeting with fourth seed Damir Dzumhur.

The match-up is tied at 2-2 with Stan the Man winning their last meeting at the Australian Open in 2020. Perhaps rather surprisingly, Dzumhur won their only previous clash on clay in Geneva a year earlier. 

Clearly, the 40-year-old Wawrinka is well past his spellbinding best and the Bosnian is going to be a whole other level to his first round opponent. 

Dzumhur showed just how good he can be by giving Carlos Alcaraz an uncomfortable evening at the French Open and he looked sharp on the dirt in reaching the last eight in Bastad. 

Wawrinka will obviously be a threat but the 33-year-old Dzumhur will come through here.
