Damir Dzumhur picked up a fine win in the previous round as he beat fourth seed Nuno Borges in straight sets. A remarkable first set saw Dzumhur storm into a 4-0 lead, only to then lose serve on three straight occasions as Borges reeled off five games in a row and served for it. The Bosnian would break back and edge ahead after winning the tiebreak. The pair exchanged more breaks in the second, but Dzumhur would go on to win 7-6 (1) 6-4.
He now takes on Botic van de Zandschulp. He beat Alexander Shevchenko in straight sets. The Dutchman was pegged back after going a break up twice in the first set but broke again in the 11th game and served it out. He then dominated the second to win 7-5 6-1 after one hour and 25 minutes.
Van de Zandschulp has been the more convincing player so far this week, and he will look to go on the attack against Dzumhur.
