Crystal Palace Preview: Palace stumble

Crystal Palace have been one of the strongest sides in England since mid-to-late October and they still have an FA Cup semi-final tie against Aston Villa to plan for next weekend at Wembley Stadium but they could do with a response in the Premier League after a poor week.

They raced into a 2-0 lead at the Etihad Stadium against Manchester City last weekend but eventually succumbed to a 5-2 loss to the faltering defending champions before then being annihilated by five goals to nil by Newcastle United at St James’ Park in midweek.

Bournemouth Preview: Much-needed win

AFC Bournemouth have endured a tough few months with their intense style of football perhaps leading to fatigue and quite a few injuries but Andoni Iraola’s Cherries got back on track with a much-needed victory against Fulham at the Vitality Stadium last weekend.

They opened the scoring within a minute against the Cottagers last weekend thanks to a strike from Ghana international forward Antoine Semenyo. That means Bournemouth begin tucked inside the top eight, which could be enough for UEFA Europa Conference League qualification.

Crystal Palace Team News: Resetting required

Crystal Palace need to take a breather and reset themselves but that doesn’t necessarily mean making too many changes. Oliver Glasner has also been able to reveal that they have no fresh injury concerns ahead of this weekend.

Predicted XI (3-4-2-1): Henderson; Richards, Lacroix, Guehi; Munoz, Hughes, Wharton, Mitchell; Sarr, Eze; Mateta

Unavailable: Riad (Injured), Doucoure (Injured)

Questionable:

Bournemouth Team News: Kluivert still a slight doubt

In his pre-match press conference ahead of the trip to Selhurst Park, Andoni Iraola has said that he believes Justin Kluivert will be available for selection this weekend. However, Colombia international Luis Sinisterra does remain sidelined alongside both Ryan Christie and Enes Unal.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Kepa; Smith, Huijsen, Senesi, Kerkez; Adams, Cook; Semenyo, Scott, Ouattara; Evanilson

Unavailable: Christie (Injured), Sinisterra (Injured), Unal (Injured)

Questionable: Kluivert (Injured)

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Prediction

Crystal Palace need to reset themselves and re-establish some form ahead of the visit of Bournemouth to Selhurst Park this weekend. The visitors will try and play an intense style of football as ever and last week will hope to be a launching pad too finish the season with a flourish, whilst Palace look ahead to their biggest game of the campaign. Bournemouth can get Europe with eighth this season but that would be reliant on Palace not winning the cup. Siding with the away team may well be the value bet for this one in Croydon.

Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth Tip: Double chance – Bournemouth to win or draw
