THE PREDICTION
The Paarl Royals come into this on the back of a poor performance against the Sunrisers Eastern Cape in their most recent outing, the other day. The home team managed a score of just 127/7 and had conceded 131/2 in just 18.2 overs. Their supposedly explosive batting lineup that includes Jason Roy, Jos Buttler, Dane Vilas, Eoin Morgan and David Muller, the Royals may have a decision to make with an out of sorts Jason Roy struggling once again. They now face an MI Cape Town side that, on paper prior to the tournament, were the heavy, heavy favourites. Any T20 side that can use up 12 overs with Jofra Archer, Kagiso Rabada and Rashid Khan will do well, let alone if you have Dewald Brevis, Liam Livingstone, Ryan Rickelton, Sam Curran and Rassie van der Dussen up the order. However, they have lost three of their opening five and both of these teams will have expected better. Buttler vs Archer and Rabada is the key battle in this one and it is the latter in the better form and MI Cape Town should be favoured for that reason alone.
