Australia bowled excellently to restrict West Indies to 231, bowling them out in 48.4 overs. Xavier Bartlett was brilliant on debut, picking up 4/17 from his nine overs. Three of Australia’s top four then went on to score over 50, with Cameron Green and Steve Smith putting on an unbroken stand of 151 to see the home team to victory with 11.3 overs to spare.
WEST INDIES
West Indies must improve from a batting perspective if they are to stand a chance of levelling the series. Only Keacy Carty and Roston Chase really impressed, Carty making 88 before being run out. After finding themselves on 169/5, they added just 62 for their remaining five wickets and their bowlers were unable to handle a good Australian batting unit.
THE PREDICTION
Once again, the expectation is that Australia will wind up too strong for West Indies from a batting perspective. Their top order remains formidable and on what should be a flat surface, the hosts should get the better of the Windies bowling attack whether they are setting or chasing a target. Back Australia to double their series lead.
