ADELAIDE STRIKERS

• Adelaide Strikers were left frustrated in their efforts to overcome Melbourne Renegades in their opening contest as their run short fell just two runs short in what was a hugely disappointing outcome for the Strikers.
• They will be desperate to respond here but will need more from their batting line-up after several players failed to build on promising starts and that ultimately ended up costing them the victory.

MELBOURNE RENEGADES

• Melbourne Renegades were able to hang on to claim a thrilling success against Adelaide Strikers with that success going some way to banishing the memories of a terrible campaign last time around.
• The Renegades got off to a great start with the bat to set the tone for the game opening pair Sam Harper and Mackenzie Harvey putting on 65 with the latter going on to score 56 while Zahir Khan was then key with the ball as he finished with figures of 3-24.

THE PREDICTION

Adelaide Strikers will be desperate to bounce back from their loss to Melbourne Renegades as the two teams do battle once again here. The Strikers will need to improve with the bat as none of their players were able to kick on like Mackenzie Harvey did for the Renegades and that will be crucial to their chances of success here with Harry Nielsen top-scoring with 30 runs. There is little to separate the two teams but with the Renegades winning back-to-back matches against the Strikers, they are the slight preference here to achieve a third straight win against their opponents.
