Cremonese preview: Overachieving Cremonese
It has been an impressive start to the season for Cremonese, following their promotion to the top-flight of Italian football last season. The Cremona-based outfit have also brought in former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy on a free transfer to catch the eye.
Davide Nicola, who took over from Filippo Inzaghi over the summer, began his stint in charge of Cremonese by defeating AC Milan at San Siro before then entertainingly beating Sassuolo. They shared a goalless draw with Hellas Verona last weekend.
Parma preview: Carlos Cuesta’s Parma
Early on this summer, having managed to steer themselves to safety, Cristian Chivu departed Parma for Internazionale. Mikel Arteta’s former assistant coach at Arsenal, Carlos Cuesta, has replaced him in his first managerial role.
The visitors returned from the September international break with a 2-0 defeat to Cagliari at Unipol Domus in Sardinia last weekend. Parma have struggled at the start of this season with just one point collected from their opening three matches.
Cremonese team news: Couple of doubts
Jamie Vardy made his debut off the bench for Cremonese last weekend. They have a couple of confirmed injury doubts, such as Tommaso Barbieri and former Middlesbrough man Martin Payero.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Audero; Terracciano, Baschirotto, Bianchetti; Zerbin, Collocolo, Bondo, Vandeputte, Pezzella; Bonazzoli, Tonny Sanabria

Parma team news: A few injuries
Parma head to Cremona with a couple of confirmed longer term absentees, such as new signing Matija Frigan, whilst experienced Brazilian midfielder Hernani a doubt.
Predicted XI (3-5-2): Suzuki; Del Prato, Circati, Ndiaye; Lovik, Ordonez, Adrian Bernabe, Sorensen, Valeri; Cutrone, Mateo Pellegrino
Unavailable: Frigan (Injured), Ondrejka (Injured)
Questionable: Hernani (Injured)
Cremonese vs Parma prediction
It has been a very worrying start to the campaign for Parma. Carlos Cuesta will already be feeling the pinch as he tries to implement his own coaching ideas for the first time ever. Cremonese, with the experience of Davide Nicola, have become wily and are already punching above their weight, and a continuation of a remarkable start to the season would seem quite likely here.
