Coventry vs Middlesbrough prediction

Coventry City come into this one on the back of just one victory in their last four matches to leave the Sky Blues in danger of losing out on the sixth spot that they currently possess. Frank Lampard’s side backed up a 3-1 defeat to relegated Plymouth Argyle at Home Park by losing 1-0 at Kenilworth Road against relegation-battling Luton Town last weekend.

They do, though, now face a Middlesbrough side that are low on confidence and supporters are becoming increasingly frustrated with the management of Michael Carrick. The Smoggies were held to a goalless draw by Norwich City at the Riverside last week to mean they have now managed just one win in their last five matches in the second-tier.

‘Boro are collapsing and, whilst Coventry could also be described as enduring a mini collapse, there are more mitigating factors for the hosts and they should get themselves a crucial win here.
