Corentin Moutet vs Tomas Martin Etcheverry prediction
Corentin Moutet saved two match points as he got through an enthralling battle against countryman Arthur Cazaux in the round-of-16. Moutet came from a set down to win after three hours and 47 minutes, defeating Cazuax 6-7 6-3 7-6. The world number 39 was clutch when it came to saving his break point opportunities, with Cazaux only able to convert two of a possible 12 on offer.
Tomas Martin Etcheverry enjoyed a far more comfortable match as he defeated Rinky Hijikata in straight sets. The Argentine raced into an early lead and did not look back, wrapping up a 6-1 6-4 win after one hour and 24 minutes. Etcheverry was not broken on serve and won 85% of his first serve points.
Etcheverry leads the head-to-head 2-0 after victories earlier this year in Rio and Monte-Carlo, but this will be their first meeting on a hard court. Moutet might not have much in the tank after such a gruelling encounter in the previous round, while the fresher Etcheverry has performed strongly so far and may just have the edge.
