Colombia vs Costa Rica prediction

Colombia suffered heartbreak two years ago when they were beaten on penalties at the hands of Netherlands in the quarter-finals. They’ll hope to go even further in 2026 but won’t have the benefit of home advantage this time around. However, the South Americans shouldn’t be underestimated and enter this game as favourites.

Costa Rica have consistently struggled when it comes to the group stage. They didn’t pick up a single point in 2024 and whilst qualifying for the tournament in an admittedly easier CONCACAF qualification process hasn’t been an issue, getting results in the World Cup has been. That isn’t expected to change here, so back Colombia.

Colombia vs Costa Rica tip: Colombia to win
