The prediction

The Collingwood Magpies continue to be the measuring stick for the remainder of the AFL. They now sit on top of the ladder with six wins against just the one loss. They have repelled the challenges of Essendon, Brisbane, Sydney and Carlton in the past month with ease.

Two weeks ago, the same could be said for the Geelong Cats. They knocked off the previously undefeated Hawthorn in an Easter Monday thriller after a stirring win in Adelaide at gather round.

Last week, however, they were found wanting against an inspired Carlton Blues and were comprehensively beaten by three goals.

The quality remains there for the Cats with Jeremy Cameron and Patrick Dangerfield an ever-present threat in front of goals. What they lack though is the depth of the Pies and we think that Collingwood are another good play this weekend at the MCG on Saturday night.
