The prediction
Collingwood come into this one on the back of a slender four-point defeat of North Melbourne last week. That means that they have now enjoyed four successive victories as they sit tucked inside the top ten and the playoff places.
Following the departure of Michael Voss a couple of months ago, Carlton recovered from a rocky season on and off the pitch. They enjoyed seven successive victories before a loss to high-flying Hawthorn last week.
Carlton were poor in that defeat but they will be expected to rediscover their previous form in the derby and a high-scoring encounter seems a decent bet for this one at the Melbourne Cricket Ground.
