Coco Gauff vs Karolina Muchova prediction

Coco Gauff was taken to a deciding set in her fourth consecutive match but still managed to reach the semi-finals of the Miami Open for the first time with a win over Belinda Bencic. The Swiss looked to have the advantage in the third as she broke to go 3-2 up, but Gauff showed all of her determination to reel off four games in a row and seal victory. The world number four won 6-3 1-6 6-3.

She now faces Karolina Muchova, as the Czech continued her fine form with a hard-fought win over Victoria Mboko. This was a rematch of the WTA 1000 final in Doha, with Muchova winning that title last month, and she picked up another win over the teenager after winning 7-5 7-6 (5). She was not broken on serve and won 78% of first serve points.

Gauff leads the head-to-head 5-0. Their last match at this year’s Australian Open was the only time Muchova had forced a deciding set in any of their matchups. Though Muchova has performed at a really high level so far in 2026, her variety is not nearly as effective against Gauff due to the American’s movement and strength on return. She will need to be more aggressive if she is to give herself a chance.
