Clara Tauson vs Maya Joint prediction

Clara Tauson began her Korea Open campaign with a straight sets victory over Eva Lys. The Dane started the match strongly but encountered some difficulty in the second as she was broken on two occasions when serving for the match. She managed to edge ahead in the tiebreak to win 6-2 7-6 after one hour and 37 minutes. The Dane had suffered a surprising defeat in the first-round of the US Open but this was a step in the right direction as she aims to reach the semi-finals in Seoul.

Maya Joint is her next opponent. The 19-year-old continued her fine year as she defeated Sofia Kenin for the second time in 2025. The Australian was in complete control as she won 6-3 6-1 after an hour and three minutes. Joint has won the first two titles of her career this season and is looking to end the year strongly.

Tauson’s superior firepower and pedigree gives her the edge, but Joint is likely to make this match very competitive.
