Charlton Athletic were brought down to earth with a bang by Stoke City this past weekend, the Potters blowing away Nathan Jones’ side in the first half, scoring four goals without reply. You would expect Jones to have his men fired up and ready to respond, especially in a London derby such as this against another team in QPR who have had a fantastic start to the campaign.
For both of these sides, the priority has to be avoiding back-to-back losses. To have made such a good start to the season only to throw their advantage away with two quick losses is less than idea, so don’t be surprised if we saw a tight match with a solid defence the priority, rather than a highly-attacking style of play. Therefore, it’s worth considering backing a level game come full-time.
