Celta Vigo vs Espanyol prediction

Celta Vigo, with Claudio Giraldez at the helm, qualified for the UEFA Europa League last season and, after a slow start to the campaign, have majorly improved of late and are racing up the table in La Liga. They continued their good form with a 1-0 victory against Deportivo Alaves in the Basque Country last weekend.

They now face an Espanyol side that, following the takeover by Burnley owner Alan Pace, have turned themselves into one of the more ambitious sides in La Liga, seeking a top seven or eight finish. The Catalans most recently got themselves back on the winning track with a defeat of Sevilla at the RCDE Stadium last week.

Espanyol have been a lot more proactive and effective in the last 12 months and that should lead to a reasonably fun watch for the neutral in the north east of Spain this week.

Celta Vigo vs Espanyol tip: Both teams to score
