Caroline Dolehide vs Sorana Cirstea prediction
Caroline Dolehide will be hoping for an upturn in fortunes at the China Open. She has failed to win her last five matches, with her last victory coming all the way back in July at the Washington Open. She has not competed since the US Open, which saw her lose in the first-round to Xinyu Wang despite taking the first set. She has a negative win-loss record on outdoor hard courts this season, with eight wins from 17 matches.
Sorana Cirstea was unable to go further than the second-round in Seoul as Iga Swiatek continued her unbeaten run against the Romanian with a straight sets win. Nevertheless, Cirstea did win a title in Cleveland just a month ago, coming all the way from qualifying to win the title without dropping a set.
Cirstea has impressed in recent months and will be a big favourite to defeat the out-of-form Dolehide in the first-round.
