The prediction

With interim coach Josh Fraser at the helm, amid some off-field issues, Carlton begin the 12th round of AFL fixtures sitting 15th in the table with three victories and eight defeats thus far. However, two of those three wins have come in their last two games after edging past both the Western Bulldogs and Port Adelaide.

They now face a Geelong side that are sitting third in the table with only Fremantle and the Sydney Swans ahead of the Victorians. Geelong managed to earn a 27-point victory against the Swans last week, backing up a win against defending champions Brisbane – contributing to a four-match winning streak.

Geelong are in excellent form but they are facing an improving Carlton side so, while the Cats remain favourites, it could be a closer contest than many may have anticipated a few weeks ago.
