The prediction
Carlton started the season poorly both on and off the pitch but the departure of coach Michael Voss saw them turn their season around. They have squeezed themselves into the top ten, sharing a thrilling tie with the Western Bulldogs last week.
Captained by Alex Pearce, Fremantle have been the dominant force of the AFL thus far. After suffering just their third defeat of the season a couple of weeks ago, the Dockers then produced a 24-point victory against the Adelaide Crows last week.
Fremantle are one of the most impressive teams that the AFL has seen in recent time and they will be expected to again come out on top here at Marvel Stadium in Docklands.
