Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner prediction

Carlos Alcaraz reached his second successive final at the Monte-Carlo Masters as he ended the hopes of home favourite Valentin Vacherot in the last four. Alcaraz dropped just three points on serve as he took the first set comfortably. The pair exchanged breaks in the second, but Alcaraz broke again in the eighth game and served it out to win 6-4 6-4. He has now won 17 consecutive matches on clay, stretching back to last year.

He will now face Jannik Sinner for the first time this season. The world number two reached his fourth straight Masters 1000 final after defeating Alexander Zverev for an eighth time in a row. Sinner made a blistering start and broke late on to claim a 6-1 6-4 victory. The Italian is on a 19-match unbeaten run, and is just the fourth man to reach the final at the first three Masters 1000s of the campaign, joining Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

The world number one ranking is on the line in this match, as another chapter in men’s tennis’ great rivalry is set to unfold. Sinner has been on an incredible run of form, but Alcaraz has won three of their four previous matches on clay. The Italian will be hoping to make a fast start, but if the world number one is able to extend the rallies and turn it into a physical battle, he may just edge this one.
