Carlos Alcaraz vs Arthur Rinderknech prediction

Carlos Alcaraz maintained his flawless start to 2026 with a rout of Grigor Dimitrov. 

The world number one made it 13 wins in a row with a 6-2 6-3 success over the Bulgarian.

The two-time champion will now face Arthur Rinderknech in the third round with the Frenchman still to swing a racquet in the tournament following Juan Manuel Cerundolo’s withdrawal.  

This will be their sixth meeting with Alcaraz leading 5-0, including a 6-4 7-6 win on his way to the Doha title recently. 

Rinderknech has been competitive without winning a set in his last three tussles with the top seed and it’s likely this latest clash will follow the same pattern.
