Canada vs Iceland prediction

Jesse Marsch and his Canadian side head into this one on the back of a 2-0 defeat of Venezuela in their most recent outing in November. That means they have now conceded just one goal in six games since losing to Guatemala on penalties in the quarter-finals of last summer’s CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Iceland have a collection of players coming through once again that is marking them out as an exciting team to watch, such as Albert Gudmundsson, Hakon Haraldsson and Orri Oskarsson. The next few years is expected to see them improve once more and potentially emulate teams of the 2010s.

Iceland will be a fun watch for the foreseeable future and Canada are due a game in which they are defensively average so both teams scoring may well be a good bet.

Canada vs Iceland tip: Both teams to score
