Camila Osorio will aim to complete a hat-trick against Ekaterina Alexandrova.

The Colombian leads their head-to-head 2-0 and is now bidding to win their first tussle on clay having previously prevailed in straight sets on grass and hardcourt.

World number 77 Osorio is hoping to climb back up the rankings after her Bogota title defence ended prematurely and she arrives in Paris on the back of a quarter-final run in Rabat.

That boost means the South American will quietly fancy the upset, particularly when you add in the travails of Alexandrova of late.

The Russian sits at 14 in the rankings but, in truth, her form is way off that standing with just two wins in her last 11, including three recent losses in a row.

Osorio is statistically at her strongest on the dirt while it is Ekaterina’s weakest surface going by the numbers, so we reckon it’s worth a punt on the upset, although a note of caution is that Alexandrova’s fortunes will surely turn sooner rather than later.
