Mariano Navone will fancy the upset when he tackles Cameron Norrie in Geneva.
The Argentine has been in superb form on clay of late, landing the Bucharest title and taking big-name scalps in Madrid and Rome respectively.
The world number 42 set a second career meeting with Norrie courtesy of a 5-7 7-5 6-1 win over compatriot Marco Trungelliti in his opener.
Third seed Norrie has had some solid if unspectacular wins on the dirt, making the last eight in Barcelona and the round of 16 in Madrid.
Navone was a 6-4 6-2 winner when they first locked horns on the clay of Rio back in 2024 and he will feel he has the form and game-plan to come out on top again. It may not be as one-sided this time around and Cam may well push it the distance, but it’s worth taking a punt on the South American.
