Cagliari vs Roma prediction

Roma fell to a damaging 0-1 defeat at home to champions Napoli in arguably the most anticipated Serie A fixture of last weekend and that saw them Gian Piero Gasperini’s side lose precious ground in the title race with Inter and AC Milan both winning. After watching Inter pick up another three points less than 24 hours prior to kick-off here, Roma needs to match that result against struggling opposition.

Cagliari currently suffering through an extended spell of bad form, having not won in their last nine Serie A games. You have to go all the way back to September 19th for their last victory in the league away to Lecce. Since then, it’s four draws and five losses for Gli Isolani in the league and the bottom three is starting to loom large.

Unfortunately for them, this Roma side are hungry, motivated and have won nine of 13 in Serie A so far this campaign. Expect Cagliari to push them hard, but for Roma to ultimately come out on top away from home.

Cagliari vs Roma tip: Roma to win
