The prediction

The Brisbane Lions quickly put to bed their disappointing performance against Collingwood a fortnight ago by convincingly beating the St Kilda Saints 118-73 in Melbourne. They currently sit in second position on the ladder with just that loss against the Magpies spoiling an otherwise impressive start to the season for the defending premiers.

The Gold Coast Suns, meanwhile, won in style against the Sydney Swans and also put to rest any demons coming from their shock loss to the Richmond Tigers a fortnight back.

In the brief history between the two sides, the Lions have won 20 of the 27 matches played including four of the last five. The gap between the two is certainly closing as evidenced by their position beside each other in the top four of the table. The Lions won both matches last season and we think they can make it three in a row in this addition of the Q clash.
