AFC Bournemouth have a chance of securing European football for next season but, like last season, are fearful of falling just short ahead of the visit of Manchester United.

Bournemouth preview: Push for Europe

Highly-rated coach Andoni Iraola comes into this ‘run-in’ once again sought after with the Cherries turning their form around since the turn of the year, unbeaten in their last ten matches in the Premier League.

However, Bournemouth have been frustrated by four successive draws ahead of this one, including back-to-back goalless draws against out of form Brentford and then relegation-bound Burnley of late.

Man Utd preview: Back to winning ways

With a brilliant start to his reign as interim boss, performances began to dip for Manchester United before their recent loss to Newcastle United – but the Red Devils got back on track last week.

Up against fellow top four contenders, United strengthened their grip on UEFA Champions League qualification with a 3-1 victory over Aston Villa, inspired by a brilliant Bruno Fernandes performance.

Bournemouth team news: Nothing fresh

In his pre-match press conference, Andoni Iraola has said there are 'no fresh injuries' but their key midfield duo Tyler Adams and Lewis Cook do remain sidelined.

Adams has not been named in United States' upcoming squad for this international break, while Cook is expected to be fully fit for after the break.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Petrovic; Jimenez, Hill, Senesi, Truffert; Scott, Christie; Rayan, Tavernier, Adli; Evanilson

Unavailable: Soler (Injured), Adams (Injured), Cook (Injured), Kluivert (Injured)

Questionable:

Man Utd team news: Mazraoui a doubt due to illness

Michael Carrick confirmed that the reason for Noussair Mazraoui's absence from training on Wednesday was due to illness and so the Morocco international has to be deemed doubtful for this one.

There are some confirmed injury absentees in the defence with Matthijs de Ligt and Patrick Dorgu still sidelined for a while, while Lisandro Martinez is nearing a return but will not be ready for this one.

Predicted XI (4-2-3-1): Lammens; Dalot, Yoro, Maguire, Shaw; Casemiro, Mainoo; Mbeumo, Fernandes, Cunha; Sesko

Unavailable: De Ligt (Injured), Martinez (Injured) Dorgu (Injured)

Questionable: Mazroui (Illness)

Bournemouth vs Man Utd prediction

There is now a feeling that a defeat may just about be around the corner for the hosts. Bournemouth’s ten-match unbeaten run is flattering them, with frustrating and toothless performances of late. They will still seek to get after United down at the Vitality Stadium but, with so many in-form attackers, backing Carrick’s visitors to simply outscore their opposition would be a good bet.

Bournemouth vs Man Utd tip: Man Utd to win & both teams to score
