Marco Rose replaced Liverpool-bound Andoni Iraola over the summer at Bournemouth. He has enjoyed three positive performances but The Cherries were beaten 2-1 by Manchester City with two late goals before conceding a late equaliser against Everton and then giving up a 2-0 lead to share a 2-2 draw with Newcastle United.
Following promotion to the Championship, Lincoln City lost manager Michael Skubala to Bristol City and key man Jack Moylan to Cardiff City but The Imps have remained more than competitive and that continued at the weekend as they shared a 1-1 draw with likely title challengers Southampton at Sincil Bank the other day.
Lincoln will have full focus on survival in the second-tier and so may rotate against a rotated Bournemouth side, too, with the hosts remaining firm favourites – especially continuing on at their current level of performance.
