Bournemouth preview: Excellent Cherries

AFC Bournemouth may well have lost the likes of Kepa Arrizabalaga, Dean Huijsen, Illya Zabarnyi and Milos Kerkez, as well as Dango Ouattara, but the Cherries' biggest piece of business was ensuring that coach Andoni Iraola remained in the dugout.

After an entertaining 4-2 loss to Liverpool on the opening day, Bournemouth have since defeated both Wolverhampton Wanderers and then Tottenham Hotspur by a goal to nil as they once again try and push for the European spots in the Premier League.

Brighton preview: Excellent Seagulls

After a positive first season in charge last year, Brighton and Hove Albion have once again performed well at the start of this season, albeit with frustrating dropped points from dominant performances, in their opening games against Fulham and Everton.

However, prior to the September international break, the Seagulls managed to come from behind and defeat Manchester City by two goals to one at the AMEX Stadium, with German attacking midfielder Brajan Gruda snatching the three points.

Bournemouth vs Brighton prediction

Andoni Iraola’s style of football has been described as ‘the future of football’ by Pep Guardiola and, like any almost inevitable bit of brilliance, the future is now. Brighton play a more deliberate passing style in contrast to Bournemouth’s energy, and that probably falls into the hands of the intense Cherries, especially with their home advantage, and they should be favoured to continue a fine start to the season.

Bournemouth vs Brighton tip: Double chance – Bournemouth to win or draw
