Bologna vs Salzburg prediction

Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna come into this one on the back of a comfortable and impressive 3-0 defeat of Udinese at the Bluenergy Stadium in Friuli last weekend, courtesy of a brace from Tommaso Pobega as well as a Federico Bernadeschi strike. That means that they are now unbeaten in their last 11 matches.

They now face a Red Bull Salzburg side that have started the league phase of the UEFA Europa League with one win and three defeats in their opening four games. The Austrians are at the top-of-the-table in the Austrian Bundesliga but were beaten 3-2 at home to WSG Tirol the other day.

Salzburg are trying to restore some of their status from recent years but this is a stiff test and Bologna should win this one quite comfortably, especially in Emilio-Romagna.
