Abate has lacked form for a while but performed well last time out in what could signal a change in fortunes. He finished second at Nottingham on that outing last month and having won here previously, this course could bring the best out of him so expect the six-year-old to go close on this step up in trip.

Bearaway has performed solidly on the AW and did well on his handicap debut last month at Kempton. Looks to be more to come here and if he can take to the turf, he should be the one to beat with the four-year-old able to claim a first win of his career.

Wrenthorpe finished fourth over C&D on his seasonal debut last month but should come on for that run and can produce better here. Will go off 2lbs lighter for this contest and with a 7lb claimer on board once again, he should finish in the frame at the very least in this one.
