Benin were in an excellent position to qualify for this summer but finished the campaign poorly to eventually go below both South Africa and then Nigeria, losing their last two matches of the group phase.
Palestine most recently succumbed to a quarter-final loss to Saudi Arabia in the FIFA Arab Cup. They have won just two of their last nine matches inside 90 minutes, though.
Benin don't have home advantage but should be a bit more settled at Stade Felix Houphouet-Boigny in Abidjan - and they should be the side that is sided with.
