Belarus vs Scotland prediction

Belarus began their UEFA qualifying campaign for the 2026 FIFA World Cup with a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Greece at the Karaiskakis Stadium in Piraeus. Konstantinos Karetsas opened the scoring after three minutes before Vangelis Pavlidis, Tasos Bakasetas, Dimirtios Kourbelis and Christos Tzolis put Belarus to the sword.

Scotland haven’t been at a FIFA World Cup since 1998 but Steve Clarke, likely in his final international cycle in charge of the Tartan Army, has led the Scots to both UEFA EURO 2020 and UEFA EURO 2024. The Scots began their qualifying campaign with a goalless draw against Denmark at the Parken Stadion in Copenhagen.

Scotland head across to Hungary as the firm favourites for this one and they will be expected to come out on top in a low-scoring encounter against poor opposition.
