Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Prediction

Hansi Flick’s Barcelona have been thrilling to watch throughout this campaign and they have already earned silverware this season with the Spanish Supercopa last month, whilst Diego Simeone and Atletico Madrid have evolved once again to return to being as strong as ever.

The Blaugrana come into this one on the back of a comfortable and impressive 2-0 defeat of struggling and out of form Las Palmas in the Canary Islands at the weekend thanks to goals from Dani Olmo and Ferran Torres. They have now scored 116 goals in just 38 matches across all competitions this season.

In contrast, as ever, Atletico Madrid’s title challenge is built on a very strong defensive foundation with Los Rojiblancos having conceded the fewest goals in La Liga; 16 in 25 matches. They come into the first-leg of this semi-final having hammered Valencia by three goals to nil at Mestalla the other day.

Atletico defeated Barca by a goal to nil in Barcelona with a late Alexander Sorloth strike before Christmas and have shown themselves capable of shutting down the intense Barca style so, for a tie that will not be decided on the night, more caution is expected from both.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid Tip: Under 3.5 goals
