Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid prediction

A Dani Olmo double in a 3-1 victory over Alaves helped Barcelona move to the top of the La Liga table over the weekend, a position they still claim after Girona held Real Madrid to a 1-1 draw on Sunday.

Since suffering defeat in El Clasico at the end of October, the Catalan giants have won their last four La Liga games, but they now take on another title contender.

Atletico Madrid have hit some fine form themselves, however, with Diego Simeone's side having won their last seven games in all competitions, including their last six in La Liga.

The most recent Camp Nou meeting between these two sides was a dramatic 4-4 draw in February, in what was the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final. Given how fluent both attacks have been lately, another high-scoring encounter looks very much on the cards here.

Barcelona vs Atletico Madrid tip: Over 2.5 goals
