Barbara Krejcikova vs Magda Linette prediction
Barbara Krejcikova makes her return to the tour in Strasbourg having not competed since the WTA Finals at the end of last season. She had been struggled with a back injury for some time but the two-time Grand Slam singles champion has declared herself fit for a return.
Her comeback starts against Magda Linette. Linette lost to Maria Sakkari in the second-round of Madrid after receiving a bye. She exacted revenge on the Greek in the very next event at the Italian Open but then lost in the third-round to Coco Gauff, with the American going on to make the final.
The Pole has made two quarter-finals this season in Abu Dhabi and Miami but her recent form on clay has been less than inspiring. This will be their first match on clay though Krejcikova does lead the head-to-head 3-0.
Though Linette is not in the best of form. Krejcikova is simply not match fit having not competed for so long and we can see the Pole outlasting her opponent and getting through.
