Sudan to their credit have been impressively defensively over the course of this competition so far, even though they have just point to show for it. After holding Algeria to a goalless draw, it took until the 81st minute for Iraq to finally breach a tough Sudan backline and break the deadlock between the two nations. They added a second a few minutes later but were pushed hard by Sudan. However, that’s two games played and no goals scored, which has to change if Sudan are to progress any further.
Meanwhile, Bahrain have been leaking goals, giving up seven across just two group games, although unlike their opponents here, Bahrain found the net in both of those matches. If there is any fixture than the Sudan frontline can breakthrough, it would be this one and when you combine that with what we’ve seen from the defence, there’s good value in backing Sudan to win or draw via the double chance market.
